※as if と as though では、前者の方がよりくだけた表現であること以外に、意味の上で大きな違いはない。

※even if の直後には「架空のたとえ話」が置かれるのに対して、even though の直後には「紛れもない事実」が置かれる。つまり、前者は仮定法で使用され、後者は直接法で使用される。
